Frequently Asked Questions

Straight answers about Vivify’s services, consultations, planning process, timelines, permits, financing options, and what homeowners can expect.

What areas does Vivify serve?

Vivify serves homeowners through teams in the Sacramento and Roseville area, Santa Rosa and nearby Sonoma County communities, and San Diego and nearby communities. Start with your closest market page or contact us so we can confirm availability for your address.

How do I request an estimate?

Use the contact form or call your local office. We will ask about the property, project type, goals, approximate timing, and any early budget considerations before determining the right next step.

Is the initial estimate a final contract price?

No. Early conversations, ranges, website calculators, and preliminary estimates are planning tools. A final price depends on an agreed scope, selections, site conditions, permits, engineering where needed, and the written project agreement.

What does the complimentary 3D design include?

When offered and when the project is eligible, a complimentary 3D design helps visualize layout and finish ideas during planning. Unless a written agreement says otherwise, it is not a complete set of architectural, engineering, permit, or construction documents.

What is the usual remodeling process?

A typical project moves through discovery, site review, scope definition, design and selections, written proposal and agreement, preconstruction planning, construction, and a final walkthrough. The order can change based on project size and local requirements.

How long will my remodel take?

Timing varies with design decisions, project complexity, permitting, material lead times, trade scheduling, inspections, change orders, and conditions discovered after work begins. Your written plan should identify the expected schedule and the factors that can affect it.

Will my project need permits?

Many remodeling projects require permits, especially when structural, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, window, or layout work is involved. Requirements vary by city and county. The project scope and written agreement should clarify permit responsibilities.

Can I stay in my home during construction?

Often yes, but it depends on the rooms affected, dust and noise controls, utility interruptions, safety conditions, household needs, and project duration. Discuss access, temporary kitchen or bathroom arrangements, children, pets, and work hours before construction begins.

Can I supply my own materials?

Material responsibilities should be agreed in writing before ordering. Owner-supplied items can affect dimensions, lead times, installation responsibility, warranties, storage, damage risk, and the project schedule.

Are financing options available?

Financing may be available through independent third-party lenders and is subject to application, credit approval, lender terms, project eligibility, and applicable law. Sample payments are illustrative; review the lender’s disclosures before accepting an offer.

How are changes handled after work starts?

Changes should be documented through a written change-order process that explains revised scope, price, and schedule impact before the added or different work proceeds, except where immediate action is required for safety or applicable law.
